This is our family's home in the mountains, and we're delighted to share it with you.

About Braeburn Cottage

Braeburn Cottage is our family's home in the mountains. We built it on a hillside above the surrounding community, bordering the Nantahala National Forest, and finished it in 2026. When we're not here, we're delighted to share it.

❋ Our Home

We built the house we wanted to spend time in. Two separate living areas so a group of ten can spread out or come together. A chef's kitchen with a 6-burner KitchenAid gas range, because holiday meals are half the reason anyone comes to the mountains. A screened porch with a wood-burning fireplace, which is where we end up most evenings.

❋ Your Stay

As fellow travelers, we've enjoyed staying in many vacation homes, and we've paid attention to what makes the difference. Our local team keeps the home ready between guests. We simply ask that you treat it the way we do. Our goal is to maintain the peaceful mountain atmosphere that makes Braeburn Cottage such a special place for everyone.

What Sets Braeburn Cottage Apart

Built New, Finished in 2026

Everything in the home is new, from the KitchenAid range to the room-darkening shades. Four bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, and two separate living areas, designed for a group of ten rather than adapted for one.

The Forest at the Property Line

The home sits on a hillside above the surrounding community and borders the Nantahala National Forest. Dry Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and downtown Highlands are minutes away.

Reliable, Even Up Here

Starlink high-speed WiFi supports WiFi calling and video conferencing. A whole-house backup generator helps ensure a comfortable stay even during mountain weather.
